Terms of Service

1. Subscription Terms

Pelagic Insight Pro is available as a subscription for $4.99 per month. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

On iOS, subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase and managed via your Apple ID account settings. On the web, subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Billing terms of the respective platform apply.

2. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Pelagic Insight displays ocean data sourced from NOAA and other public agencies. This data is provided “as-is” without warranty of any kind. Sea surface temperatures, wind speeds, wave heights, currents, bathymetry, tide predictions, and all other environmental data are approximations and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

Pelagic Insight is not a navigation tool. Do not rely on this application for navigation, safety-of-life decisions, or hazard avoidance. Always use proper marine charts, GPS, and safety equipment when operating offshore.

3. Acceptable Use

• Use Pelagic Insight only for lawful purposes.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute our data or services.
• Do not use automated systems to access the service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.
• Do not impersonate others or provide false information.
• Comply with all applicable fishing regulations in your jurisdiction.

4. Intellectual Property

The Pelagic Insight name, logo, and application design are our intellectual property. Ocean data sourced from government agencies (NOAA, etc.) is in the public domain. Your fishing logs and personal data remain yours.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pelagic Insight and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
